Description

since yesterday was my hardest final i took the opportunity to celebrate - meaning watching Finding Nemo and painting Sailor Moon. pure bliss

i decided to draw Usagi transforming because WOW colors, so fun - color and bg wise this is loosely based off [link] and [link] but I took a bit of artistic liberty because WE ALL KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE FUCKING AROUND WITH COLORS (i really don't need to explain this any further but for instance [link] [link] and oh yes it even stretches back as far as [link] it just never ends)

i started wondering, does usagi ever get sad? like does she ever just wish she was a normal girl :( everyone pumps up the idea of being a magical girl but she hardly has the room to complain about test scores or fawn over boys... MAYBE SHE GETS SAD IN LATER SEASONS, honestly I'm not very far in, but I was just thinking :'C

i hope you like! fave & comment & critique, tell me what I can work on and what you like/dislike, really i love harsh comments

tools: photoshop elements 11
time: 2-3 hours? i'm not sure i got distracted by finding nemo LOL

As always, everything you create is so wonderful, as well as inspiring. This piece in particular makes me get a cosmos sort of feel and it makes me want to make something under such a theme. I feel like since it's a Sailor Moon picture, the outer space theme is really fitting. The tears coming out of her eyes really add to an emotional understanding under a moonlit experience. In the background in the upper left, it looks as if there's a meteor shower of sorts, or maybe some falling stars. Anyway, it's a very good piece, nice soft textures. Keep on using such methods, they look nice.
